I was born in Gadsden, Alabama and grew up in a small town northeast of Gadsden called Centre. I graduated from Cherokee County High School in 2001. After attending Gadsden State Community College for two years, I transferred to the University of Alabama to complete my four year degree. I graduated in 2005, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. A month after graduating I began working at Small Business Accounting Services.

My current position at SBAS is maintaining the accounting records for several small businesses. I am responsible for preparing payroll taxes, sales taxes, and reconciling bank accounts for many of my clients on a monthly basis. I also evaluate and prepare financial statements to make my clients aware of how their business is doing each month.

For one client, I am responsible for every aspect of their accounting needs. Some of these jobs include entering bills, paying bills, creating paychecks, and preparing and mailing invoices. This is in addition to the monthly preparation of payroll taxes, sales taxes, and reconciling their bank account.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my fiancé. I recently got engaged and plan to be married in October of this year. Right now, planning for the wedding seems to take up the majority of my time. In my spare time, I enjoy watching television, playing tennis, walking, and playing poker.
